7th Annual Outdoor Quilt Show - Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania

Events will be held rain or shine! 9am - 5pm unless stated differently. Airing of the Quilts Outdoor Quilt Show is free to the public however some events do have admission fees.

 

 


Lecture at the Dietrich Theatre 11am, $7.
Moda Fabric Designer Edyta Sitar will be traveling from Michigan and bringing over 100 quilts with her. Half she will use in her lecture and the rest will be on display at the Tunkhannock Middle School indoor show. Her lecture “Reasons for Quilting” has received standing ovations and should not be missed.


Book Signing 2 - 4pm at Endless Mountains Quiltworks.
Meet Edyta in person back at the shop where she will be signing her new book “Hop to It.”


“Signature Style” Indoor Show, 9am - 5pm, Free.
This year’s featured quiltmaker is applique specialist Cheryl Kerestes of Wyoming, PA. See over forty of Cheryl’s exquisite quilts on display at the Father Nallin Center of the BVM Nativity Church on Tioga Street. Lunch is available at this location and proceeds benefit BVM Nativity charities.


Indoor Quilt Show at the Tunkhannock Middle School 9am - 5pm, $4.
See all of Edyta Sitar’s beautiful quilt collection and more. See the quilt that won first place in the traditional hand quilted bed quilt category at the 2009 Lancaster Heritage Celebration show made by Barbara Diem of Watchung, New Jersey. Hanging along side Barbar’as quilt will be the original c.1840 quilt that inspired her blue ribbon winner.

Meet Artist Diane Phalen.
See her original museum quality water-colors. Diane’s art will be on display at the indoor quilt show in the Tunkhannock Middle School. You will be able to purchase signed prints, stationary, and gifts from her Americana Quilt Series featuring colorful quilts in magnificent landscapes. Don’t miss her brand new fabric line.
